The Problem Nobody Talks About

The shelter is the last stop. By the time a family walks through those doors, the decision has already been made. We work at every stop before it.

Without AAF: The Housing Trap

A family gets a new lease requiring a $400 pet deposit they cannot afford. Nobody helps. The pet goes to the shelter. Cost to taxpayers: $250 to $450 for intake alone.

The Bridge covers the deposit through a micro-grant, creates a pet resume for the landlord, and mediates the transition. Family stays together. Shelter never gets the call.
